ONLINE:
On or before Thursday, 9-noon complete TA Ethics Modules at location of your choice (Click here for Instructions)
Meetings:
• Thursday, 1-4:30pm - UCen Harbor Room; Must bring printout of Assessment Page for TA Ethics Modules
• Friday, 10-4 UCen Harbor Room
• Saturday 9-1 Mosher Alumni House
INSTITUTE RATIONALE: The purpose of the Lead TA Institute is
to assist you in preparing for your responsibilities as Lead TAs;
to increase your knowledge of University policies relevant to TAs and their students;
to enhance communication skills to better assist new TAs in developing teaching skills; and
to increase your knowledge of pedagogical
skills and student learning.
WHO MAY ATTEND: Departments who have received a TA Departmental
Training (TAD) Grant with specific funding for the Institute, may designate
a Lead TA to attend. Note that the funding is enough to support only one Lead
TA per department. A second Lead TA may be funded upon special request <shirley@id.ucsb.edu>.
